Grizzlies visit Salvation Army Women’s Shelter – 11/23/2008

Greg Buckner, Kyle Lowry and Antoine Walker took time away from the basketball floor to spread Thanksgiving cheer at a Salvation Army Women’s Shelter on November 23.

In an afternoon filled with holiday joy, Buckner, Lowry and Walker served Thanksgiving meals to more than 100 women and children at the Women’s Shelter before sitting down with those in attendance to talk about fond past holiday memories and hope for future happiness all year round.

A raffle with special prizes was held, but everyone in attendance received a gift courtesy of the Grizzlies. The children in attendance received backpacks, while the women at the shelter were given Grizzlies daily planners.
