On tonight's game:
“We turned the ball over some and Zach made a big shot with three seconds on the shot clock he hit it off the glass for a three point play. We had a couple of good defensive plays and we had some bonehead plays too but fortunate for us we got the win. We missed the two free throws at the end and they didn’t have any time outs left and Posey had to bring the ball down the court which is out of his element.”
On being down in the 4th Quarter:
“We were down 9 points in the 4th and we just kept battling. Mike Conley had a huge game, he kept attacking the basket and Zach played outstanding as well.”
On team’s scrappiness in 4th quarter:
“They fought and we were down and they battled back and it looked like an exact replica of the game that we played here last time when we were up and they came back so I am happy with the win.”
On the difference in this game from the last versus the Hornets:
“We picked up the defensive intensity. We made it tough for Peja to get open shots and we clogged the lane very well.”
On the play of Mike Conley:
“I think he let off a little bit. There were times when I got on him and thought he should have done different things. That was one of the reasons we won tonight. We need to get that out of him every night.”
On their recent road wins:
“Right now you’ve got to focus. It started as a marathon and now it’s a sprint. We’ve got to win most of these games. If we lose, we make it a lot harder on ourselves.”
